Winthrop’s titanium tops are designed for performance from strength and lightness. Our solid titanium tops offer excellent abrasion resistance and are inherently corrosion resistant without the need for coatings. WT-TTM
The Titanium Top Mini is our smallest titanium tip. Because it is machined from a single block, it has a solid titanium frame.
The WT-TTM is available in barrel sizes #10-#18 for use with 30# class rods.
Assembled with either sealed ball bearings or deep drop bushings.
Choose silver or gold colored rollers.
WT-TT
The Titanium Top is a medium size titanium tip. Because it is machined from a single block, it has a solid titanium frame.
The WT-TT is available in barrel sizes #12 – #28 for use with 50# – 130# class rods.
Assembled with either sealed ball bearings or deep drop bushings.
Choose silver or gold colored rollers.
AUSSIE
The Aussie titanium top is a large roller tip for heavy tackle users. This top is easier on lines in heavy drag situations when fighting with big fish. Machined from solid titanium to ensure a rugged and light-weight top, it incorporates our sealed bearing system with massive knot clearance.
The Aussie is available in barrel sizes #20 – #36 to use with 80# to unlimited class rods.
Choose silver or gold colored rollers.
AUSSIE WIDE
The Aussie Wide titanium top is an over-sized Roller tip for heavy tackle users, boasting the largest roller available in a roller guide tip top. Like the Aussie, this top is easier on lines in heavy drag situations when fighting with big fish. Machined from solid titanium to ensure a rugged and light-weight top, it incorporates our sealed bearing system with massive knot clearance. The Aussie Wide is available in barrel sizes #20-#36 to use with 130# class wide roller guides. Assembled with either sealed ball bearings or long-life roller bushings.

The Aluminum Top is a benchmark for performance and reliability in roller tops. Featuring a seamless construction, these are milled from solid aircraft grade aluminum. WT-AT
The Aluminum Top incorporates a medium size roller and can tackle 50 class through unlimited class rods. Available in barrel sizes #12 – #28 with Ball Bearing assembly or Deep Drop assembly.
WT-ATM
The Aluminum Top Mini incorporates a small roller to match 30 class roller guides. Available in barrel sizes #10 – #18 with Ball Bearing assembly or Deep Drop assembly.
XPRESS ALuminum Tops
The Xpress Aluminum Top is a tough, lightweight roller top for demanding anglers and is our most popular roller top option. XATS
Incorporates a small roller to match 20# class rods and up with barrel sizes #10 – #20. Available with bushing assembly.
XATM
Incorporates a medium roller to match 30# class through 50# class rods with barrel sizes #10 – #20. Available with bushing assembly.
XAT
Incorporates a large roller to match 80 class through 100 class rods with barrel sizes #16 – #36. Available with bushing assembly.
XATW
Incorporates a large-wide roller to match our XC130W guides with barrel sizes #20 – #36. Available with bushing assembly OR ball bearing assembly.
Roller Cartridges
These are the complete roller assemblies used in all our roller guides and roller tops. Each cartridge contains all necessary components to swap out one roller assembly inside your tip top or roller guide.
Ball Bearing Assembly
The ball bearings in our roller guides provide an unparalleled smooth rolling action. We use corrosion resistant stainless steel, sealed for maximum life in the marine environment.
Bushing Assembly
Our custom-made, long life roller bushing provides a smooth rolling action with very low maintenance. Our bushing assembly will outlast ball bearings and is the most dependable option available.
Deep Drop Assembly
For deep dropping, we designed our deep drop cartridge which replaces the ball bearing cartridge option. Our custom-made, long life deep drop bushing provides a smooth rolling action with very low maintenance. Like our bushing assembly, the deep drop assembly is your first choice for dependability.

You will find the part number of your guide or top laser etched on the bottom side of each guide or top frame. All options below are available with gold-colored rollers and screws. To order the gold option, add the letter “G” to the end of the assembly part number shown below.
Kite Top
The Winthrop Kite Top was designed to replace existing weaker ring guides. This Top is simply indestructible and will last a lifetime. We use a highly corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel, available in barrel size #28 only.
Kite Top can also be used for dredge rods when using monofilament line.
